- Up to two prenatal appointment to discuss pregnancy concerns and address any fears you have about birth, discuss birth options, comfort techniques and any other topics of your choice. (How many prenatal appointments you received is determined by how early in your pregnancy I am hired.)
- Assistance in writing your birth plan, if you choose to have one.
- Unlimited phone support during pregnancy and after birth.
- Unlimited email support during pregnancy and after birth.
- 24-hour ON CALL availability from 37 weeks until birth.
- Continuous labor support once the mother is in active labor.
- Immediate support for the first hour or two after birth.
- Assistance initiating breastfeeding, if that is your choice.
- An in home visit after birth to
- review your birth experience
- help with any breastfeeding concerns
- provide assistance and suggestions for postpartum recovery
- offer newborn techniques and tips (if desired)
- offer information and guidance for babywearing (if desired)
- Referral service to other local professionals (i.e. obstetricians, midwifes, chiropractors, lactation consultants, reputable birthing classes) if families are interested in seeking out their services.
- Referral to postpartum services that help moms during their adjustment newborn period with housework, clean up and preparation for house guests to visit and depart, errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, sibling care and/or pet care.
- Access to the lending library.
Current commission for service is $500. (Regular price will be $575.) A $200 non-refundable retainer is due at the time you reserve services. The remainder is due 2 weeks before the birth. Payment plans are available if necessary. Please do not let financial issues prohibit you from inquiring about services.
